The Long Beach Unified School District offers a career opportunity in one of the largest and finest public school systems in California. It is the third largest school district in California, 35th largest in the United States and serves approximately 97,000 students in 95 schools, kindergarten through grade 12, and 2292 Head start pupils in 25 Head Start centers. It serves a 129 square-mile area in the cities of Long Beach, Signal Hill, Lakewood and Catalina Island.
